Hi Everyone..! I hope that you had as memorable a weekend as did I. What a difference 20 Years Makes!! : ) I am truly touched by the many, many conversations I shared with you. In addition to that, I am still elated to have personally witnessed the main difference in a 20 Year Reunion to a 10 year Reunion...MATURITY. At the 10 Year, alot of us were still in the mind set that we left high school with, which was our own definitions of who we were and who the rest of the class was. Back at C.V., some of us were considered jocks, nerds, soc's, surfers, band geeks, brains, popular, stoners, etc. Those labels often carried with them barriers between each 'group'. Beginning on Friday night, and continuing until I finally went to sleep at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday/Sunday, (yeah, I know...! ), I watched people getting to know classmates that they may have never realized were in the same school 20 Years ago. I have always felt blessed to have had good friends in all of the afore mentioned categories, but often wished my friends from each group could get to know eachother and realize how wonderful they were. You guys did it..! Needless to say, I'm talking about more alumni than just the ones that I knew. Friday night was an especially great night in regard to this, as we were in a smaller, more intimate location and probably just had less distractions. I am honestly so proud of our class, we are good..really, really good. (I don't care what Glendale or Hoover said! ha-ha) Thank You for helping to make the reunion a success. I know it was hot in the ballroom, and that the hotel totally needs to be demolished and rebuilt, ( can you say old and decrepid?? ), but visiting the people who have had a big part in making us who we are today, on the inside, was priceless. Remember, WHAT HAPPENS AT THE REUNION, STAYS AT THE REUNION! ha-ha
Health and happiness to you, your friends and families, Becky (Anderson) gvuthscp@aol.com p.s.
